Performance Experience

Joanna made her debut at the tender age of 3 when she performed “Jesus Loves Me” with the Jahn Family Singers at Christian Woman’s Circle in Plymouth, Minnesota. It was not long after this show-stopping performance that Joanna decided she wanted to become a rock star. Her parents swiftly enrolled her in classical voice lessons. This training paid off huge when she got a summer job singing country songs at Valleyfair. It was there in the Red Garter Saloon where she once literally broke her leg giving her all.

She currently performs in Steeling Dan, a Steely Dan tribute band, sings jazz and big band standards aboard the Minnesota Zephyr and yodels away in the bluegrass country trio, The Dollys. She has performed live at The Pantages Theatre with John Trones and Jim Brickman and is featured on John’s albums Holiday and Romance.

Joanna was also recently onstage as Karen Carpenter in “EAT! A Karen Carpenter Buffet”, (which she co-wrote/ produced) and as bad girl cheerleader “Lisa” in Fifty Foot Penguin’s production of “Debbie Does Dallas, The Musical.”
